There is one crucial step that applicants for an international internship should really prepare for. Most of the time this is one reason why the intern do not get the jobs of the internship slot. We often ask where we went wrong with our applications when we see our applications as the perfect one for the vacant job slot.
References.
May I ask what your bases in choosing your references are? Have you used any rubrics or any system to screen your references?
Yes. Most of the time we are in hurry in the preparation of our applications that we most of the time chose references according to who we know. Well, of course we can not put references that we do not know but these references should be able to highlight your strength and downplay your weaknesses.
Reference checks are the one of the most crucial step in the hiring process. If you are applying for a volunteer abroad vacancy, a job or an internship placement then you should be aware of the fact that your character reference could do their job well and is willing to do it.
Another factor for choosing your character reference is that: they should be willing enough to field off questions to your advantage point. For hiring managers really are quite adept at throwing unexpected questions to your references.
So just a thought, it is indeed handy to rub elbows with the big boss or the who’s who in the school campus. For they can say a word and give their opinions that can offer your most rooted post in a silver platter.
Your references should also be willing to give their mobile numbers and numbers that they can be reached even on holidays. For some hiring managers just go to the next applicants when they find that the references they had called is not available. So it also helps to give an almost 24/7 available contact numbers.
They are hiring you for international jobs the more that you are more careful with your references.

Internship abroad offers a variety of experience for everyone to savor. One child can really make a difference. Find out how he manages to talk when he is mute. Miguel I named him so that I can easily remember the beautiful and twinkling eyes that stares at me with fascination.
I only came for a short internship in a village in Uganda. Short! I never intended to make it a long term commitment to make sure that the kids will have unending foreign intern to follow up on the lessons that I had started. I for one knew that I will never stay for long if I intend to help them in the long run. So, I settled for a summer internship.
That is where I met Miguel. At first I never knew that Miguel is mute. He plays and laughs like the other kids. He opens his mouth when I instruct them to follow me to make a letter sound. He looks like a kid with normal talking skills. How would a teacher know who spends only an hour with a 75 school children to teach?
Then I decided to make my teaching internship a notch higher than the required dedication. So intend to individually assess the children so that I can leave the assessment for the next intern. My mind is already working for ways to get in touch with the administrator and the agency so that there would be an unending support of foreigners that would teach the children. Internship careers really just came at the right time.
The start of the assessment is the doorway for me to know that Miguel is mute but not deaf, thanks God. That also opens so many opportunities for me to make lessons befitting a mute student. Miguel to my surprise can not talk but he has expressions far more communicative that words. Now I know why his classmates treat him as a equal for he can talk not in word but in expressions.

So I thought that the main reason of internships is to get vertically articulated or perhaps try the work world and came up with correct career decision making. But an article I stumbled upon has made those thoughts ‘false’. Imagine a lawyer student went to intern for a Hockey team during her summer break? And the intern is SHE. Wasn’t she suppose to be in the court and wearing a dark blue skirt and a crisp blouse?
Perhaps I am prejudiced but it is shocking news to hear that some one opted to seek summer internship in a totally opposite field of the course that she is taking. Sasky Stewart decided to follow her passion that started when she was in her Adolescence. She is now 20 and she fell in love with hockey when she was fourteen years old. Starting the day she went crazy with hockey and balanced studies and playing hockey during here adolescence.
She had grabbed a place in the “Western Hockey League Team” as board of directors and is the youngest in the group. Stewart is a law student in the university of Queensland in Australia. Not only is she doing her internship but also a business during this great internship opportunities. She has her own line of collection of hockey clothes for the serious fans of hockey.
She knows that hockey became a passion and a best friend for her during the stage of the human life span that has caused troubles for many youths. so hockey had kept her out of trouble and bad decision making.
At first I really do not know the connection of her internship at “Western Hockey league Team” and her law course. But when she said that she dreamed of being the commissioner of the national Hockey League. Well, it is indeed so overpowering and it means something to be a commissioner and a lawyer at the same time.
