I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with flying honors. It was tough, I got to admit. I missed so many travels abroad with my classmates for I got to catch up and be on top of almost everything I do. They went to Thailand for a study in culture for our sociology subject while I went to a far flung place in our city to get the data. They went to enjoy Bangkok shopping and slept in one of the Five Start Hotel; they went to bask in the glory of Samut Sakorn, Ratchaburi, Prachuab Khiri Khan, Samut Songkram, Chachoengsao, Phetchaburi, and Sa Kaeo.

It was in our third year in college that the opportunity knocks so loudly on my door that all of my friends were gleefully jumping up and down, hugging and congratulating me before I even know why. I was a candidate then for the highest awards in college and I was chosen for an international internship for Europe. Guess where?

France, Germany, Spain. Yes. I spent two months each in these countries for my international internship. I packed my bag after a year’s preparation and interviews and visa preparation with the envy of my classmates. The burning of midnight candles and the missing of some nightlife and travel with friends indeed paid off with a big bang.

France. The country is beautifully cared by history and time. I visited the ‘City of Lights and the Grand’ Place, Cote d’ Azur, Loire Valley Castle and tasted wines and cheeses while gazing at the busy Paris street.

Germany. I this country Berlin enticed my heart. I had a great time gazing at their architecture and also took time to taste Berlin’s nightlife. No other city best described and portrayed its history.

Spain. The country of sunshine! I never experienced such glamour in sun bathing and beach combing only here in this country. A beautiful masterpiece of nature; Sagrada Familia is beautiful in pictures but it is magnificent in person.

International Internship opened opportunities for me.

International internship is very challenging. It does not only cater one student but millions of students from all over the world who wants to venture their internship abroad. Competition arises every year, more and more population of students is craving to apply for the said program. But only a few of them are being accepted. Applying for an internship abroad is never essay; there are many things that you should consider, so if you were among those students who filling up forms today you better follow some of these tips because it might help you a lot in applying internship abroad.

If you have already started a volunteer abroad program you should start with your study abroad coordinator. Your coordinator will be the one to help you organize things that you needed for your internship abroad. They can help you find the best program that you were interested in. If ever you don’t have a contact to a coordinator, it would never be a problem since they can hasten your application.

Try to apply in the companies which is not really popular or you have not heard yet before. These companies would help you land in countries which are not really famous for the said program. It would be hard for you to apply in countries which are popular for volunteer abroad program since it is more competitive.

Search for an international association. There are various organizations abroad such like in the U.S. that offers interns various job opportunities.

Negotiate for a friend or alumni who were living now abroad. If you have friends abroad, it would be easy for you to access for the said program because they could help you recommend from the program you were applying in.

Browse some information about internships which does not necessarily ideal for international students. Try searching internships also in internship listings and local jobs and apply to them.

It seems that everybody is looking for an opportunity working abroad. Internship abroad mostly for students is one of the major subjects programs that they take into account. Through internship abroad, they can make it an excuse or as their stepping stone to reach their long been dreamed in life. We cannot blame these students because they were not the only one who were craving to flock abroad for a working opportunity, it seems that everybody are planning to have a work abroad because of the spontaneous economic problems that we are facing now. Though it is sad, but it is true.

If you were one of those interns who were planning to do your intern abroad, there are some basic criteria that you should take into account. This could help you and guide you as well what to take into account before flocking off from your country.

College Degree—working abroad without a degree is possible. However, if you have a degree with you, the employers will be the one to hunt you. You have opportunities to get hired in high standard jobs with of course high salary offers. If you are fluent in English language and you are confident that you can teach English abroad, then share your knowledge. However if you don’t have an English degree you will only expect to have a lower salary. You can continue to study abroad and get an ESL certificate to become one of the in-demand employees abroad.

Perseverance—taking an international education or working abroad will never work well if you find yourself lack of perseverance or determination. One of the most important aspects that you should mind when going abroad is to check yourself if you are ready with whatever consequences that you might encounter. The culture that they have is far different from yours, so make sure that you are ready about it.

Self-determination—before working abroad, thinks of the possibility that you were away from your family and love-ones. They will never be there with you if ever you will encounter trials. Therefore, set your mind that you should be responsible being independent.

You may be an aspiring magazine editor, writer and are a journalism student and would want to have your internship in a magazine company, need not worry here are some tips where you can find your internship and how to get it.

As early as possible, start searching for an internship even if its still summer or your classes haven’t started yet.

Talk to your friends and others who are on the field. They may know an opening of an internship or much better they may even recommend you to the editor to get you as their intern.

Try looking at some regional magazines and those that are smaller in publication. Most of the magazines don’t advertise if there’s an opening, this is because most students seek the job themselves.

Go to your school’s school advisor and career offices, they may help you in finding and applying for the internship that you want. They may also have a list of the publication companies that are searching for interns and so on.

Best way to find one is to check out their websites, they may have more information on the process of applying for an intern.

If you have found that internship for you, this is how you can get that job.

Get the important names that are behind that publication, for example the editor of a specific section of the magazine such as sports and other interests. Address your resume, cover letter and application to that particular person; mention some journalistic experience and so on.

Create a portfolio about your works and your other writing experience and so on. The more you show that you are serious about it, chances are you get qualified for the position. You have to make sure that once they received your application, you also have to ask when you can expect for a reply from them.

Follow up your application by emailing or calling if you haven’t received any feedback days before the deadline.

International career is built through the years and not in an instant snap of the finger. A child who is guided on what he wants is indeed a very lucky child but a child who knows what he wants is also a very lucky child.

For these children who have visions of themselves will make decisions based on their goal. They would take international summer vacation jobs as early as they can possibly do. Or take a leap on gap year in international locations. Or volunteer during summer abroad. See, on how they would take every opportunity to deal with another race, place, culture and people.

Though there are generic skills that every employer would really appreciate on their employees like cognitive skills and social skills. Personal traits also would count because these would determine the kind of attitude every employee would bring in the work place.

The most often misconception of students is that they can only build their international career when ever they land on foreign land. This is a big mistake though. But if you are in college right now and will be doing your internship. Better contemplating on taking the leap for an international internship though it is a bit expensive but if you handle your cards well then it may be the starts of a dream international career.

In your international internship you can test your skills in learning and social work skills in cross cultural settings. Sounds easy…? But it is not for dealing with different people with different personalities is easier said than done.

Start an international career by having internship abroad.

There are students who wouldn’t cross borders for the misconception that the international market for internship is rather very small and undeveloped to cater your needs. Well, in that point, we got to take in account that the world beyond is so varied and diverse that your needs will surely be catered.

In whatever field you are, may it be Computer Programming, Broadcasting, Psychology and Marine Biology and more; the whole world awaits you. And with every step it means greater responsibility. So we should decide like professional adults in every internships that we have.

Cultural immersion is a cliché in internship abroad. But cliché as it sounds it is still one of the significant factors to really look out for. The more that you know about the language of the country and the company the more interesting the internship would be. And the internship location became a greener pasture for learning more of the language and the country. An invaluable experience indeed!

The reward of an internship abroad is seen after the graduation in college. It is when you look for work that the experience that you have gained from your internship will be very important. Your internship abroad can make your resume shine above the rest.

If you are considering an International Internship, you should assess first your reasons for doing such internship abroad. Do you go for an internship for personal development or for work abroad? Another reason perhaps you wanted to gain an experience on a specific skill on a certain company. Whatever it was just make sure that you are sure on what you want and how you will get to it.

If your aim is to work abroad and you are preparing for an international internship. This is the least way to get a work abroad. For there are work abroad programs that would cause less; International Internship is rather expensive especially if it is not backed by a university, organization or an institution.

International Internship is a very powerful means of landing a good job as a neophyte in the world of work. There are so many things to get from an International Internship. Yet we should also consider the place to hold our internship. Major international centers of activity in Europe are a very good choice of international internships. Italy, Spain, United Kingdom are a good start to look for a destination.

International Internship is a good credit to a degree. Choosing well for an appropriate destination is also a must.

The best intern work by a language student is to work as a museum guide in the best museums all over Europe. Imagine speaking different languages to explain the different history of the artifacts. International Studies student usually studies different language. The basics of a certain language are not enough for you to speak the language understandably but it is a stepping stone to learn more of the language.

As they say the best way to learn is by doing it. Language students who would like to polish their language skills would be best immersed in a kind of work that involves language communication. A museum attendant or guide is the best way to polish such language skills.

Interns should have the common sense to be at their best intellectually and professionally when doing their internship. So, before going on their internship year they should be prepared enough to tackle the real-work atmosphere. Or else, they would be a graduate who did not learn the basics of their course.

Museums artifacts are a very interesting thing to tackle. They would be the best subject to research and be very fluent about. Pictures and paintings are also the best subjects to talk to visitors of such museums as they speak volumes of what is going on the volumes.
