Posted by: admin on February 9th, 2010

Geology InternshipI studied geology for I thought I would be able to meet the creations and kingdom that lies inside the earth. Though, I was disappointed in that aspect the treasure and the knowledge I had had helped many people. I remembered my first day on my international geology jobs. It was not exciting for me and during that time it was for compliance sake and not because I truly needed it- I never even wanted to be in that place.

But my three months stay in Bolivia has opened not only the practice of the theories but also the experience in using the instrument I am using now. We were then going to stay in Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia; well not particularly in that place but we often visited the place.

Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the whole world which covers more than 4 thousands square miles. It proudly sits in the south west part of Bolivia with gypsum and halite as the major minerals that you will find in the area. Internship abroad geology is no joke and the thing I learned and know during my internship will always be in me.

That is counting all the gallivanting in the country; and also the official jobs that takes us to the most unexpected part of the country. Also meet lake Titicaca and get awed by its amazing length. Copacabana also has its Inca ruins. And try the adventure of the life and use the world’s most dangerous road. Valle de Luna is also another world even to the ordinary tourist.

There are actually countless of tourist destination like El Fuerte de Samaipata and Amboro national park that a tourist should see and a gapper should also visit during their science internships abroad and every student should b proud of.
