The secret for one surefire way of a successful Internship Abroad is actually not unknown to everyone. Asking is the best way to make internship a powerful one.
Ask those students who had experienced an international internship abroad. Ask them what they were doing on their internship. Ask them if indeed they had practice their courses in the places they went.
By having a survey 5 years before your internship start is the most practical thing to do. Getting prepared for your international internship abroad means getting the necessary subjects, working or acquiring the financial aspects; and getting really good with anything that has connection with the international internship abroad.
Getting a good grade during college is also another secret formula for a successful internship. Companies would like to hire the cream of the crop students and being one is an edge among other applicants.
Develop a skill that can be useful for your internship. If you are planning to go to Japan then perhaps the Japanese language is a big plus for you. Would 4 years of preparation enough?
Set up your priorities. Being successful means managing your priorities. Then make Internship Abroad a priority and work towards it.
Make a list of what you want during this distance internship. What would you like to accomplish? Do you want just to learn? Would a company’s name in your resume?
There can so many things that we could want for an Internship Abroad.
I am an English Teacher and on my last year in college I went to a school in China and taught English. I worked for such internship for 3 years. I had to double time getting all necessary subjects to be able to qualify for the internship.
Then I wanted to teach the English language with children. For a year it was a great experience. The school was recommended by a friend who also went there a year before me.
