The world’s most competitive industry is the fashion world. Fashion work in the classroom is entirely different when you have a ‘foot-in-the-world’ experience. The pressure, money, glamour, customers and a lot more of factors to consider; not to mention the right colors, perfect stitches, appropriate cloth and all of those elements one designer really thinks of.
The Fashion world is so wide that one can get lost in it. Here is some of the more popular course to take on:
- Clothing Design Position/Internship – this is a very good way to start when you are thinking of having your own clothing manufacturing company. This job includes the preparation of cloths, packing orders, trimming, pressing and general knowledge of textile.
- Fashion Showroom Position/Internship – this position really has a heavy responsibility on your shoulders. Interns will help prepare fashion shows, communicating with designers, buyers, events coordinators, and looking up sample request.
- Merchandising Position/Internship – this position is mixture of background in design and of course computer knowledge. An intern in this position should have know-how with Social Media Sites- as he would be dealing with those.
The Fashion World is indeed wide. It took a lot of designers working on different categories to make on good show going.
