First and foremost, why do you want to venture your internship abroad? Perhaps your answers would be; because you wanted to learn new culture, to gain career-related work experience, to learn the basic language and to have a good grasp of experience that you can include in your CV. Mostly, that’s what students really wanted. Of course, with the worldwide recession that we are now facing, everybody wants change and everybody wants on the top. This is why; in this recent time competition in looking for work is high. And we cannot blame these students who ambitioned to venture their internship abroad because they aimed high for their future.
Once you have an experience work abroad, you will have a big chance to be hired in any of the prestigious companies. In the United States most of the students are opting to spend their internship abroad as an English teacher in the remote countries like Africa or somewhere in the Asian countries. These students are performing not only as an English teacher but as volunteers too. Because they know that most of the students they were educationally helping are less fortunate compared to those students they have way back home.
What is good in accepting the international job offers since you will emotionally be attached with the people or the students in that particular country. You will not only learn the way they live but you can also build a relationship that would last forever—friendship. At your young age you will become emotionally matured, this is a plus factor that you can be proud of when you get home and find a better job for you. Since you will be more responsible, not only your parents will be proud of you but everybody around you. The impact of being an international volunteer could mold you into a person that you will never expected to be.
